Engine And Engine Cooling Problems of Jaguar XK

Parked in the garage, sometime for a few days or the next day, the car will not start on occasions. No slow starting or clicking of a bad battery, just a humming then nothing. No reason for the failure. Doesn't act like a low battery. I charged the battery, and jumped it with no success. After several attempts I would go inside and returned in 30 minutes or so,try again; sometime it would start. After several times, in the past two years, of the car not starting I purchased a new battery; same thing. I do nothing to remedy the problem, other than wait a bit and try again. My online research shows that this is happening to often. Many people have there car taken to dealership and they find nothing. It just starts without any service, automotive repair shops and dealerships couldn't find what causes the engine to fail to start occasionally. I noticed that if it won't start after several attempts, I go away for a while and try again. For unknown reasons the car will start; sometime on the first attempt. This is very frustrating and could be costly for those not patient enough to try again and again.

We were driving down inter=state 101 when all of a sudden my engine began spuddering and stopped right by an exit. We pushed the car in front of an mc donalds. . All of the oil poured out of the engine. We had it towed benedetti bros repair on sebastopol calif. . They stated the main oil hose exploded and ruined the engine. . They did state that this very same make model and year had a recall for this very reason. . I returned my car to jaquar of marin in corte madero calif where I bought the car and to no avail could I get it replaced under the recall. . I wrote to wash DC and to new jersey and was turned down by both agency,s. . Even though this VIN number wasn't covered I think it is deplorable that the very same thing happened to my car which was the same make model and year that jaquar recalled. . First episode I was slowing down to turn left and car turned off. I was able to restart car. Jaguar said they would update software. Second episode again I was turning left at low speed when car turned off. I tried restarting car twice and it would not start. I called Jaguar and while on phone the car was able to start.
