Two problems related to engine overheat have been reported for the 1996 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The engine cylinders were bad, the engine overheated causing complete engine failure.
While driving the engine overheated. The vehicle also stalled and the steering wheel locked and the truck would not turn back on.
