Three problems related to other fuel system tank assembly have been reported for the 1996 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer was traveling 25mph and without prior warning vehicle ran out of fuel. But, the gas gauge was saying a half of tank. Dealership was aware of problem.
Fuel gauge drops past empty even with gas in tank, sits for awhile then registers level.
Fuel gauge indicator reads empty when tank is full.
