Consume rwas traveling about 25mph and without prior warning vehicle started speeding up, and took off in fast motion. Dealership was aware of problem.

3 Vehicle Speed Control problem

The description of the problem as per the news on 07/04/2001 fits the incident. At the time of the incident, a teenage friend was driving alone. He backed out of the driveway and noticed the dog was out of the yard. He said he put it in park and got out to get the dog. The Jeep inadvertently rolled in reverse into a neighbors fence causing minor damage to the rear bumper and exhaust system. I had to pay the neighbor for the damage to his fence. Incident was not reported as I deemed it his error and damage was minimal.

4 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 12/27/1996

When pressing the accelerator pedal half way down, the transmission passing gea, causes the vehicle to go ointo pen throtlle position, rpms, raced up to 800 rpms.

5 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 10/15/1996

Vehicle was stationary in garage, started motor and shifted into drive, engine surged in reverse, causing an accident.
