Air Brake Antilock problems of the 1997 Jeep Cherokee

Two problems related to air brake antilock have been reported for the 1997 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Air Brake Antilock problem

Failure Date: 10/23/1999

When pressure applied to brakes, there was no respose causing me to fishtail for several seconds, bounce off of a guard rail and then fishtail again until I could gain control of the vehicle. L( dot number: ).

2 Air Brake Antilock problem

The abs light keeps coming on. The pad/shoes were replaced at 72,000 miles for the second time. I notice on the faq section there are a lot of complaints regarding the brake system. The manual indicates the brakes will self adjust and the light will go out. The light goes out but within a day it comes on intermittently. Do you or the manufacturer have suggestions on a remedy for this problem?.
