Four problems related to front air bag sensor control have been reported for the 1997 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer received recall notice 00v105000. Took vehicle to dealership. Was informed, by mechanic that recall problem was not associated with this vehicle. Driver requested diagnostic testing on vehicle because of air bag light coming on. Mechanic determined air bag module was cause of problem, however the mechanic refused to do repairs under recall. Consumer contacted the manufacturer and was informed no recalls on this vehicle due to VIN.
Consumer is being denied recall repair (00v-105) by the dealership, dealership does not have the time to complete recall repairs.
Consumer received recall repair, the dealership charged for vaccuming the vehicle and the consumer is not satisfied about having to pay for charges. (00v-105).
