Front Suspension problems of the 1997 Jeep Cherokee

Four problems related to front suspension have been reported for the 1997 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Suspension problem

Failure Date: 07/05/2000

While driving on the freeway at speeds of approximetely 70mph and hitting bumps on the road the front end goes into a violent wobble almost lost control. After slowing down it stops. This has occurred ~7 times and is noww in the 4th round of repairs. Dealer does not know what is causing problem nor how to check to make sure it is fixed.

2 Front Suspension problem

Failure Date: 03/25/1998

Vehicle was leaning to the left side while in the garage. Moved to level surface and the vehicle stille dappered to be leaning to the left.

3 Front Suspension problem

Failure Date: 12/29/1997

While driving 60 mph and the occupant was in a seatbelt experienced a rollover accident, in which the seatbelt unlatched and the occupant was ejected out of the vehicle.

4 Front Suspension problem

Failure Date: 04/01/1997

Front end misalignment/front brake failure/gas tank leak/ fuel gauge failure.
