Three problems related to ignition have been reported for the 1997 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Ignition key failed.
Engine stops without command at speeds up to 65 mph. Diagnostics revealed an apparent loss of ignition run to engine's computer.
Vehicle stalls with no warning and cannot be restarted, vehicle has to be towed. This is due to an electrical problem.
