The contact owns a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. The headlight covers turned yellow and are covered with film. The headlights also shine dimly at night. The dealer stated that the failure was caused by the sealant that was used. The failure mileage was 80,000 and current mileage was 90,000.
Consumer stated the plastic that goes over the headlights was all fogged up and it affected driving at night. Dealer couldn't do anything about it since they had already replaced over 9,000 of feet the plastic covers . She noticed this about a year ago, but it was getting worse. She was told by one dealer that it was cosmetic.
