1 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 05/28/2008

The Jeep window regulator is a known issue and mine has broke twice in one week. I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee and it is in the shop to have the third window regulator installed. This is a constant issue with Jeeps and should have a recall issued and fix the problem. Have been to several question and answer sites on the internet and Jeep will not acknowledge there is a problem.

2 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 04/14/2004

Both front door windows do not operate up and down due to the cheap plastic peice that hold the window on the track, poor quality . Nothing was done by danbury Dodge in conn.

3 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 09/05/2003

Door and windshield wont work properly. Dealer stated the need to replace the electrical harness. Vehicle's warranty expired.

4 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 02/05/2003

About a year ago both of my front power windows quit working on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee sport within weeks of each other. I have talked about this with several other people who own Cherokees and they too have had the same problem. My concern is that if I were were in an accident that forced my car to be submerged in a body of water I would have to wait until the entire cabin filled with water before I could attempt any escape. My mother who owns a Nissan xterra also had the same problem but last month Nissan issued a recall and all 4 of her windows were replaced.
