Two problems related to cooling fan have been reported for the 2002 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Heard plastic breaking, thought I had run over something. Then loud breaking plastic noise, then coolant low light came on, then engine began smoking and over heating. Front fan came apart and broke through radiator. Had to replace fan module and radiator. Replaced thermostat and flushed cooling system.
Cooling fan on my 2002 Jeep grand Cherokee broke and destroyed the fan, shroud and fan motor!.
