One problem related to axle assembly has been reported for the 2003 Jeep Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Prior to failure, the vehicle was hard to steer. I turned into a parking lot, and it sounded like a tire was blown out. The tires were fine, and as I started the front fell outwards and the tire fell sideways. Had it towed to the dealer, and an investigator from Chrysler is looking at it today.
