O2 Sensor problem #1

The contact owns a 2004 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph, the check engine warning indicator remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the oxygen sensor and oxygen heater sensor were replaced. Three days after the repair was performed the failure recurred. The dealer then updated the computer system, however the failure persisted intermittently. The dealer also informed the contact that the drives in the computerized system would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.

Wiring problem #2

The contact owns a 2004 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the temperature control malfunctioned. The contact mentioned that he inspected the vehicle and found that the wiring harness and connector were melted and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 150,000 and the current mileage was 246,000.
