Headlights are too dim, even when using high beams. This was a terrible design flaw that has been changed in recent Jeep models, but nothing has been offered to convert previous owner's cars. Jeep needs to be held accountable for this as it's a definite safety hazard when driving at night.
Headlights very dim. Can't see pedestrians and street signs in the dark. Extremely difficult to see when it is raining at night.
Headlights are so dim I'm afraid to drive the car at night. Can't see pedestrians or street signs at night. Very dangerous when it's rainimg.
I purchased a 2015 Jeep Cherokee latitude September 2018 with 64,000 miles on it. When driving vehicle on the street, the vehicle will jerk really hard like it is changing gears. If I am putting vehicle in reverse and leaving out of my drive way, the vehicle jerks. Whenever I am driving at a low speed (0-45mph) the vehicle jerks. When coming to a complete stop, like a stop sign, red light, or heavy traffic, vehicle jerks once I accelerate. I took my vehicle to dealer to be serviced on November 3, 2018 regarding this issue and I was told they found no problems but there was an update (rrt) completed on vehicle. I took my vehicle back to dealership on Saturday, November 17, 2018 for electrical component services and complained about the same issue and was told vehicle is not showing any problems but my thermostat needed replacing due to thermostat rationality code. I scheduled an appointment for a future date to the service. Also had low beam headlight fixed was told the bulb didn't need replacing that somehow it came unscrewed. Headlight was working before I left, later on that day headlight went out again. I live in houston where the temps re now in the 50s highs 60s and I had my heater on, all of a sudden I started to smell smoke like oil smoke. But I don't have any lights coming on on my dashboard. Can you please tell why is my automatic vehicle driving like it's manual and with it only having 1 previous owner that all of these things are happening???.
Tl the contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. While driving various speeds, the headlights failed to project enough light to see the road properly. The contact also mentioned that the headlight covers had a smokey film. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 52,000.
2015 Jeep Cherokee. Consumer writes in regards to concerns that the exterior lights darken 70% of windshield visibility. The consumer stated the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the vehicle operated as designed.
The headlights are less than adequate. When oncoming traffic I can't see at all. It almost seems like my headlights aren't even on when I know they are. They are fine when your the only one on the road. However when it is raining or snowing it's so dangerous. I can't see a thing. And as a result I almost hit someone who was walking. I have told my dealership in one of their surveys that this issue needs to be resolved or someone will get hurt. I've told them it needs to be recalled. It's the only thing I hate about it.
Headlights are much dimmer than any car I have ever driven to the point of being unsafe on unlighted roads and lower visibility situations. How is it possible that headlamp performance is dimmer than headlamps of the old sealed beam design. ????????.
Just purchased a loaded Jeep Cherokee trailhawk and noticed immediately during first night drive that headlights are hugely underpowered. The road is dark and I'd say they have less than have the brightness of my last car. I almost got in an accident the first night as I could not see where the center of the lane was when making a left turn. I subsequently got online and read a ton of complaints over new Cherokee (2014-2016) headlights. This is so dangerous and unacceptable and yes, the headlights are working and I am operating them correctly.
Poor headlights; they put out very low light to see road at night. Extremely hard to see when turning at night due to they are projector headlights . Headlights can not be adjusted per dealer. Issue is on- going.
Headlights are dangerous and very dim by design. Almost drove off the road so dim. Can't see pedestrians or street signs. Afraid of hitting some one crossing the street or getting into an accident. The dealership service said lights are working and adjusted as designed. Have read thousands of similar complaints in various online forums. Please recall before people lose their lives. If it hasn't happened already. Dim lights when driving in the city ,highway, good weather, bad weather. Totally inadequate and deadly dangerous under all conditions and circumstances.
Headlights are dangerously inadequate. Headlights are very dim the beam pattern is very narrow. While driving in the city pedestrians are barely visible in front and to the sides not lit up very dim. Many accidents barely avoided. When driving road is barely visible not lit enough, very dark. Almost drove off road due to poor visibility, very dark. People will lose their lives because of poor headlights. High beams are not any better. Many complaints online. Company Jeep Chrysler now offer optional hid lighting standard in new vehicles. But not in older version left unfixed and extremely dangerous. Obviously they know it's a problem but won't admit. Headlights must be replaced with upgrade or risk death or serious injury. Headlights are way too dim , like they aren't even on when driving. Must test drive to recognize the problem. All circumstances are dangerous, highway, city, turning, slow, fast. No nighttime visibility.
It is very difficult to see at night. The headlights are small and do not give enough lighting. We live in a rural area, street lights are only in city limits. We have missed turns and driveways due to not being able to see from the side on the vehicle. The lights are fair on bright but you can't drive on bright all the time. We hesitate too go out at night due to this problem. Side and front vision is a problem. This problem has existed since purchase of this vehicle when it was new until present.
The Jeep Cherokee trailhawk is equipped with halogen headlights mounted low on the front of the Cherokee. These headlights do a terrible job of lighting the road in front of the vehicle. They are both dim and do not shine the light far enough ahead of the vehicle. I live in a rural area and am very concerned about driving at night with this vehicle since there are always animals crossing the road. The high beams shine about as far as the low beams on my other car. I feel like I am driving a car with headlights from the 1960s.
