38 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 07/10/2020

While driving a light comes on and says to service shifter. Every time it has come on, I pull over and turn the car off and then it will go off. I'm worried because I've heard others and their brakes locking up and getting into a wreck. . . On the dash reads park. We have also had a light come on the speedometer that blinks and then makes a loud beep beep beep. It does go off eventually. The worst yet is when I went to start the car, the brake locks up and it won't start or turn over. We had to tow it to a mechanic to get it looked at. Finally after trying many things, he replaced the battery and it began to work. Every now and then, it does the same thing, but if I breathe just right it starts.

39 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/14/2020

The service shifter light was coming on. All the lights on the gear shift were lit up. And the emergency brake kept applying on its own. This happened several times over the course of time. I took it to the dealership and it cost me almost $400 to replace the bezel and wiring harness. The service tech at the dealership said we were lucky that the emergency brake didn't apply while going at higher speeds.

40 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 03/06/2020

My service shifter light has came up 3 separate times. The last time it came on, my Jeep took itself from drive to park while I was in motion, locking up my tires and steering wheel. I could not get my park back into drive, and it caused me to slide off the road. It has happened on 3 separate occasions. I have also had my bluetooth and my radio malfunctioning. It changes stations and volume by itself, switches between am and fm and changes volume randomly. My u connect bluetooth stopped working entirely.

42 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/26/2020

Jeep throwing service shifter message and lighting up the entire shifter. Locking brakes, steering wheel and when trying to turn the car off it only continuously tries to turn over instead of shutting off. This started as soon as I pulled out of my driveway on a straight neighborhood road.

43 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 02/13/2020

The car's cruise control was engaged while climbing a slight hill on the freeway. The car failed to stop accelerating at 60 mph (set speed limit). The cruise control button nor pressing the brakes would disengage the system. After approximately 10 seconds, the car accelerated to 75 mph and finally disengaged. This was during the night, with moderate rush hour traffic on highway 16 near port orchard, wa. The dealer (west hills Chrysler, bremerton wa) cannot find an error code and refuses to repair the vehicle. I deem the vehicle unsafe to drive while using the cruise control system.

44 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 11/25/2019

This vehicles had a recall on something that has to do with the transmission- the dealership claims to have corrected the issue. However, the vehicle in question is still having slipping issues. Also just recently I noticed when starting my vehicle with the fob it stays on 30 secs and cuts right back off. The tire feature isn't always correct either it says I need air when I dont. I'd like to know how many other consumers have had the problem with the remote start feature. .

47 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 03/08/2019

While the vehicle has been running and in motion on city streets, the engine will cut off. The car is left without power steering and without power braking. The car must be placed in park to restart thus necessitating the need to come to a complete stop. This has occurred on four separate occasions and appears to be a problems other have on the same model (without resolution).

48 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 01/14/2019

While driving this vehicle made a right hand turn and accelerated uphill. The car died and lost all systems including steering and limited braking. I took vehicle to dealer and found out this was due to low oil. This happened twice within 4 months. No oil indicator ever appeared in either instance. Said it was a safety feature to save engine but apparently not human lives. It as scary. . I do not trust this vehicle and why is it consuming so much oil.

52 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/21/2017

I was stopped at the red light, my foot on the brake and vehicle gear in d, I felt my vehicle is reversing (moving backwards), I thought my vehicle gear was in r and foot on gas padel but that was not the case, I double checked to make sure the vehicle gear was in d and foot on the brake pedal, I put my vehicle in park (p) to make sure it stops and then when light turned green, I put it in drive (d) and started driving. In all that bizzareness, I felt I missed a green light as well. I thought may be the vehicle besides me started driving and it was my vision which made me think that my vehicle moved backwards but I am a long time driver and something like that never happened with me before. I was completely shaken up, thinking that luckily no vehicle was behind me during all that time. I also noticed that my vehicle was at least one vehicle space behind the stoppage line when I started driving again. This strengthened my belief that my vehicle moved backwards.

53 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/09/2017

We just purchased above vehicle with 13 miles on it. Like the car, but we were crawling along and the car in front of us stopped. My husband tried to stop and hit both the gas and brake pedal at the same time. The brake pedal and gas were side by side and he hit both at same time. No space between the pedals at all. Cost us over 3,000 just for ours. Thinking of getting another vehicle just because of the above.
