While driving my vechicle the gages started to go up and down, the radio went on and off, the turn signals were interupted, all the idiot lights came on and went out leaving the engine light on. I called my garage and found out the front control modular is going. There was a recall on 2008's but my vechicle was not included due to manufacture date. My vechicle is only 4 years old and was used previously by diamond Chrysler. I have not received any recalls. According to them my vechicle is clean. Now I will have to pay close to $1,000. 00 to get it fixed. If a recall goes out it should go out to all vechicles in case one such as my vechicle gets missed.
Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at 65 mph the vehicle front driver side tire went flat. The contact added air to the tire and was unavailable to do so due to the valve cord was missing and it was inside the tire. The valve name was unavailable. 2007 Jeep grand Cherokee laredo - randomly the vehicle will not start, when turning the key to in the ignition you can hear the relay clicking, engine does not crank or start. When the key is returned to the off position the data display below the tachometer momentarily states that the transmission is overheated. The battery is fully charged and everything else, lights, horn, etc still work. There are no error codes dumped. The first attempt to fix this by the dealership was to replace the starter, now 4 months later the vehicle is doing the same exact thing. This has become a reliability issue in that there is no telling when this will occur, each time family members have been stranded with this vehicle, Jeep dealership seems to be "stumped". I have read of many Jeep vehicles that demonstrate this very same problem, without resolution. This can be an intermittent issue, usually have to wait until it becomes a "hard" fail before the dealership will look at it. This is extremely frustrating owning this vehicle not knowing when it will or will not start and whether the dealership can or cannot fix it!.
My 1999 Jeep Cherokee sport 4dr automatic has stalled while driving 6 times in the last few months. Most times in heavy traffic, with one time while I was on a highway on ramp. Usually it restarts after a period of 2 minutes to 12 hours. I did have to have it towed once as it would not restart. I have had it into the repair shop 3 times and the computer scan continually shows no problems. My mechanic replaced the ignition control module at my insistence even though he wasn't sure that was the problem. It wasn't, as it happened again a few days ago in the middle of the night. I had no cell phone and had to walk 4 miles to get home. After research online I see it is a problem with many years, makes and models of Jeeps and yet no solution can be found anywhere. I called Jeep customer service and they said they can't do anything for me unless I take it to a Jeep dealer, which I can't afford. Obviously there is an issue and I was hoping to find an answer with your help.
I have replaced 3 window regulators in my 2001 Jeep Cherokee within the past 2 years, each costing me from $250 to $330. I have talked with Chrysler about this issue and they are aware of the bad design but are not going to help me pay for the next window regulator. A few months ago when the 2nd window regulator failed, the window slowly slid down and it was raining pretty hard, a truck passed by while we were pulling out onto the street and splashed my 1 year old daughter with mud/debri and water. I feel Chrysler needs to step up and take action of their known problems and get this resolved before we see a serious injury.
My 23 month old was rolling up the window on the driver side of the car when her left hand ring finger was caught in the power window, between the window and the weather stripping. The window would not unroll. The power window failed to unroll. Her finger was caught inside. We were finally able to pull the weather stripping enough to unroll the window. It nearly severed her finger. Her finger was broken and cut all the way around.

Defroster does not work. Antwerpen dealer said something was dropped in there and they had to charge 600 to replace it. I took it to a mechanic who said that the cable was defective and Jeep no longer made it and I had to replace the whole system. Since they made a defective part and it is a safety issue they should fix it for free.
The end of 2001 we saw the paint was cracking on our 201 Jeep Cherokee. We brought it to the dealer we brought it from and they refused to repair the hood and front of our Jeep. The refusal was made due to the fact that it has been repainted once. We bought the vehicle new and have not done any work to it. We are currently perparing for small claims court to have it repaired. This is our fourth Jeep and our last because of this. This problem should have been taken care of at our dealer and should never have had to go though this hassel. The vehicle was bought at forest lake Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep in forest lake, minnesota. This is suppose to be a five star dealership.

Temperature into red on several occasions and lowers when heat turned on. Oil pressure to zero at start up and while driving at range of speeds. Engine check light on. Been for repairs 5 times. Have been told rack and pinion leaking, needs new short block, gauge panel faulty, catalytic converter, and again new short block needed. Problem persists.

I had been adding coolant every few weeks. I believe this problem could seize the engine while vehicle is in motion.
Jeep acelerated on its own causing me to have to stand on the brakes(thinking I had abs) brakes did not work correctly, causing me to hit the back of a 4x4 truck at the speed of about 15 mph all bumper parts had to be replaced as did many other parts air bags did not go off. Today I took the Jeep back to dealer for the 4th time to try to get thing taken care of . On the 1st trip I was told that my abs breaks were working fine and that the mechanic felt them kick in. Took it back a week later because break peddle dropped to the floor, again I was told that all breaks were fine and that the abs were working. On 5/29/01 my husband took Jeep in and test drove it w/ service manager and they decided the abs was not working at all. And then we were told that we did not have abs ( salesmen told us the Jeep had abs). The front end now shakes at about 45-55 when going around curves and sometimes when making turns at lower speed. When jchrysler was contacted they tried to blame everything on me. It was my fault that I didn't check to see if the Jeep had abs( who would have thought that it wouldn't have them and we did ask to make sure and we were told yes it had them) and it was also my fault that an inspector did not come out to inspect the Jeep after the crash because I did not request one to although no one told me that one could come out I am supose to be able to find this information out on my own. As of today the Jeep is in for service again 3rd time for brake service 2nd time for front end vibrations and 2nd time to have them fix all the things they didn't do right the 1st time.

While driving all guages have guit registering and airbag light comes; tachometer and spedometer don't register anything; volt, oil pres. , gas, and temp all stick where they are when guages shut off. When this happens airbag light comes on in dash. When guages come back on airbag light goes out. This has happened four times in the past week. The last three times occured in one day. November 13,1998 NHTSA, I orignally thought that the right side motor mount had failed. I brought the vehicle to my mechanic for repair. My mechanic informed me that the motor mount looked good(actually brand new), though the bolts for the right side mount bracket had snapped off in the block. The right side motor mount bracket bolts snapped off in the engine block? I worked for 5 years at various Dodge dealerships and I have been driving and working on vehicles for 23+ years and I have never heard of the bolts for the motor mount bracket snapping off in the block. I called Chrysler (guy molina) and informed them of the problem, file # 5272069. I asked if there was a recall for this problem, Chrysler said no. Although vehicle is out of warranty, they would assist in the cost of the repairs as long as regular maintenance on that part had been done. I called the Jeep dealers(6) in the plainfield NJ phone directory. I asked the service departments if they had come across this type of problem. Five of the six said they were familiar with this type of problem. I asked the service personnel at the dealership, if I had brought the vehicle in for service would they have checked these bolts, the answer was no, it is not a maintenence check list item. I should not have to pay for these repairs as the bolts mentioned should not fail. These bolts are installed with lock tight, the are not meant to fail or be removed and should last for the life of the vehicle. My last Chrysler product was a 1988 Dodge dakota, I could have made commercials with where I took that vehicle and never broke a motor mount or any other part on that truck. When I sold that truck it had 112,000+ miles and it was still going strong. The Jeep is driven by my wife, back and forth to work, we also use the Jeep to tow a pop-up trailer. It has only been in four wheel(high) in snow or heavy rains. I cannot remember if we ever had it in four wheel(low). This vehicle has not been mechanica.
Due to carbon build up in the insturment panel, the instrument panel malfunctioned, causing loss of gas gauge/odometer and speedometer. Dealer cannot determine on how to fix the vehicle. Been to dealer 4 times.
Whenever driving vehicle at various speeds, without any warning, the engine would stall out. The engine check light would come on. Was running rough. Its an intermittent problem. Took vehicle to dealer at least 4-5 different times, but problem not solved.
There is a clunking noise in the front chassis when the vehicle comes to a stop and was reported to the dealer. Their attempted fix was for their repair shop to 'turn' the front rotors. The noise remains and I am shocked that the life of my brake rotors were shortened as an attempted fix. I am afraid to take my vehicle back for that kind of repair. The tailgate would not securely latch and without a working 'tell-tale' door ajar warning indicator, the exhaust smell and ratteling noise was an alert to the problem. The dealer tells me the drivers side front of the vehicle has to be taken apart for them to correct the loose hinge problem on the drivers door. I have serious doubts about the repair capability of this dealers repair shop and the usefullness of the Chrysler warranty.
