Ignition Module problems of the 2010 Jeep Commander

1 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 03/21/2016

The contact owns a 2010 Jeep Commander. When the key was removed from the ignition, all the warning indicators on the instrument panel remained illuminated. The contact also stated that the damaged key warning indicator illuminated continuously and caused the battery to die. The failure recurred continuously. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the wireless ignition node module failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10v200000 (electrical system). The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

2 Ignition Module problem

Failure Date: 11/08/2014

Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that when she parked her vehicle in her driveway and cut the vehicle off, the vehicle continued to run. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer, however the contact phoned the dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed that the wireless ignition module would have to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000. Mc.
