Interior Lighting problem #1

After having problems with dashboard lights going all on and off while driving two years ago, now my transmission has failed and the computer has gone out of the car. I have had ongoing issues with the air conditioning, and have replaced the module in the air conditioning to just have the issue re-appear a year later. The cruise control has gone out. And with heavy rains, I have leaking with my sunroof.

Interior Lighting problem #2

I currently own a 2006 Jeep Commander and for about two weeks now I have being having serious problems with my exterior and interior lights flashing on and off I have taken it to the dealership and they keep saying that they do not know what is wrong with it, they cannot find know faults or defects. The lights has being going off while driving at night on the express way with my baby in the vehicle can someone please help me with this issue I fear for my life and the life of my child. I cannot understand how the Jeep dealership cannot recognize the problem of one of their vehicles. I are completely lost and confuse.

Interior Lighting problem #3

During regular drive of the car, I experienced major electrical shut down. It does not happen very often. I noticed that is happening in summer time more often than in winter time. I noticed it for a first time 2 years ago and reported to local service dealer. They told me to keep an eye on it and to tell them if I notice any trend. Except for summer/winter, I couldn't notice any other trend. Last summer it was happening quite often and after bringing it to the service, they couldn't find cause of the problem. I think they performed some recall firmware update (08v-203 I think) but I still have same electrical problem. I don't have engine stall however. Last night (July 3rd 2009) it happen to me for the first time during night and I just realized how serious safety issue it actually is. While driving home with my family, everything in the car (headlights, ac , stereo (except lcd display) all lights on the dashboard (except p r n d gear indication)) went off for a few seconds and came back on. It happened 15-20 times in 30 minutes time frame. At one point after ~10th interruption, check engine light came on (error code u1411). So, all lights disappeared while driving at night putting me and my family at risk of an serious accident. I don't have confidence in this car any more unless there is a permanent fix for this problem.

Interior Lighting problem #4

Reference complaints 10244597, 10247128. Today, driving in the rain, lights dimmed and car hesitated, eventually stalling while in motion. While we were at a stop, the car again stalled and took several tries to restart. I no longer drive with the children in the car, and have not since the previous incident at 61k. I have tried contacting Jeep through my dealer, with no response. Today I sent an email via their website, however, I am not hopeful of any response. This will be the final time I will file a complaint, as I have called the bank and told them to come and get the car. I can only hope that the person who considers purchasing my car, as I am sure another unscrupulous salesman will put the car up for sale, does his or her research and finds the complaints I have filed here and with the PA attorney general's office.

Interior Lighting problem #5

The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. While driving between 50-60 mph, the headlights would dim intermittently and illuminate again after approximately one minute. The interior lights completely failed and would flash when the door was ajar. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer. The failure mileage was 39,000 and current mileage was 40,300.

Interior Lighting problem #6

We own a 2006 Jeep Commander that has been a problem from the first month we owned it. The first incident occurred when my wife and 3 children were driving on the highway and the vehicle shut off at 65 mph. The vehicle has consistently experienced the same challenge at low and high speeds. In addition, we have experienced similar issues as other owners such as; transmission noises and slippage, electrical system failures, excessive break noise, break wear, excessive cracking in windshield, seatbelt failure, window leaks, stereo replacement and more! in the last 9 months this vehicle has been to the dealer for repair more than 6 times for similar issues. The dealer, as with other customers has claimed they "can't replicate the problem. . . " and sent us on our way. I have now embarked upon having the vehicle bought back by the manufacturer and will also begin a formal legal case to ensure other owners receive retribution. This car is dangerous and the manufacturer is aware of these problems, you are not crazy and the dealers are covering it up!.
