I took my vehicle to hall Chrysler Jeep and Dodge dealership to get an oil change done and for them to check my starter. Well after I picked it up that night I was driving home my tire sensor pressure pistons on the right passenger back side of the car first fell off. I called the dealership and they were closed. I called my insurance company luckily I was covered and they sent someone over then the next day because obviously it was too late and nothing was open, at the tire place the next day the second one fell of glad I was already at the tire place when it happened and not driving again. But it was both tire pistons at on the right side of the car passenger side from the driver's side and the back tire of the right side. I called the dealership that same day they were fixing my vehicle and they told me to bring in the two parts and submit a claim and I could get re-imbursed for it with my receipt. And I went in today to the dealership like the manager from the dealership said and he told me I had to call a 1-800 number to submit the claim they said that they are not willing to reimburse me for it.

On my 2006 Jeep Commander I have defective corroded tire valve stems which are now cracked and cause the tire to constantly lose air pressure causing an unsafe driving condition. Chrysler is aware of the problem but refuses to replace the defective parts. The problem I am told is due to the aluminum valve stem being corroded by the metal valve stem cap. All is original factory parts. I am afraid if the valve stem completely fails and the tire goes flat while driving it may cause an accident resulting in serious injury or death.
We have a 2007 Jeep/commander sport thats really somewhat a proble since we bought it (used) and its been a problem since getting it. It has a serious problem with lurching forward while in park/drive and while you're pressing the brakes at a stop. It did it at the dealership as well they did nothing about it. We've replaced inner parts to the transmission that Chrysler refused to cover under the warranty. We've had some type of module replaced a couple of times because the truck started running rough( Chrysler covered that) each time it happened. Theres so much we caan complain about this truck and Chrysler doesnt wnat to cover non of the major things. There's definitely /always has been an engine problem.

Approximately, two months ago, a valve stem on my Jeep tire was corroded and the tip cracked off, causing the sensor to go off on the dash and it was not able to have air put in. I replaced the valve stem at a cost of approximately $80. 00. Just this past week, the same thing happened on another tire. . . The top of the valve stem cracked off and I am not able to put air in the tire. I'm sure it's only a matter of time until the same thing happens with the other valve stems on the other two tires.

The Chrysler/Jeep dealer has been aware of this and in fact at my last service which included an annual safety inspection did not want to pass the vehicle because they thought the situation was to dangerous but still refused to replace the defective valve stems.

I have a car that I owe 18k on that I cannot trade in because of this history it is only worth 8k. Throughout ownership I have had intermittent stalling, constant hesitation in acceleration. Additionally, the rear seat belt has let go and caused my son to hit his face on the back seat. Problems with seat belt latch sliding so that belt will not hook. Cannot see when backing up when my 5 kids are in the car. Tire pressure light comes on often, as does the air bag light. Exterior headlights are tilted so that they look like highbeams. This car is a danger.
Tire pressure monitor continues to go off for no reason. Check all tires and they are inflated properly at 35 psi (spare too). The Jeep Commander has been in 8 times to two dealers with no avail. They replaced the receiver module and 2 sensors (or at least they told me they did) and still continue to get tire pressure monitor warning on the dash of the Jeep. Issue occurs sporadically, but mainly on the highway driving 70 mph. Incident date is inaccurate as selected below as this has happen numerous times of the past year/year and half.
My husband and I are leasing a 2006 Jeep Commander since Nov 2005. I have been involved in 3 separate traffic accidents on may 31 2006, August 8 2006 and September 20 2007. The engine stalled during low speed turns on both August 8 2006 and September 20 2007. I had just left a stop sign on may 31 2006 when my engine stalled in the intersection, resulting in a crash. I was cited for failure to yield on may 31 2006. I wasn't cited on August 8 2006 or September 20 2007, although the police report from the September 20 2007 accident describes a "failure to yield. " I have also had ongoing tire pressure issues as well as intermittent brake failure issues. Prior to may 31 2006 I had never been involved in a traffic accident nor had I received any traffic citations. I am 48 years old. My vehicle was repaired twice after the first 2 accidents, but I am awaiting contact from the other party's auto insurer before proceeding with the repairs following yesterday's accident. I've brought the 2006 Jeep Commander in to bud mulcahy's Jeep on several occasions. That dealership is now closed.
The "service tire pressure system" light comes on. I have brought the car back to the dealer 7-8 times for the same problem and have complained to Jeep. I bring it in for service and they perform whatever new fix they conjure up and it sometimes will stop for a week or two then come right back on, it once came back on while driving home from the dealer. I also have a friend with the same vehicle who has the exact same problem. The tire pressure system has read faulty tire pressures as well that come and go and can change dramatically in just 5 minutes. I am currently driving on my spare due to a low pressure reading and when I went to put air in my tire, I tried to unscrew the plastic on the valve and half the valve crack off. I now have the spare on and while a portable tire gauge reads 35 the tire pressure system in the car reads 19.
Engine failure/stall/loss of power on 2007 Jeep Commander. Has happened about 6 times now. Sometimes at low speeds. . . Sometimes on the freeway. Started happening around 15,000 miles. Dealer tried to replicate it. They said they could not. So they have done nothing to fix it. I have told them about it 3 times. Now it has happened again at 39,000 miles and on the freeway. I lost control and it became an extremely dangerous situation as I tried to coast over to the emergency shoulder. Temporary brake power lost and no response to the attempts to start it in neutral. Please help! started in 2007 and continues to happen in 2009. I have not been notified of any recalls or tsbs. I own the vehicle.
