While at a complete stop, either at light or in traffic, my rpm gauge needle would drop to 0 rpms, however my battery is still active. I will then have to cycle key to turn vehicle back on. This also happened as vehicle was moving/approaching intersection with traffic light. As I coasted to intersection my rpms again went to zero. I then reluctantly was able to turn steering wheel (although lost power steering) to the right and continued to coast onto shoulder of road. Put car into park, cycled key and car turned on but took a several seconds for engine to turn over. Took vehicle into Chrysler dealership 3x for this issue and they couldn't find problem and couldn't duplicate it while driving it for a few days.
Tl the contact owns a 2016 Jeep Compass. While driving and shifting into second gear, the vehicle lost power and would not accelerate. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the shoulder, waited a few seconds, and the vehicle began accelerating normally again. In addition, the brakes failed and the abs warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to homer skelton Jeep Chrysler (7661 us-51, millington, TN 38053, (901) 872-0195) where it was diagnosed that new brakes with sensors and pad locks needed to be installed. The brake failure recurred. The acceleration failure was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 51,117.
I believe my vehicle fits recall of the canam or power train sensor that needs to be fixed. My engine keeps coming on. The car bucks but not all the time. Feels like something going on with trainmisiion and at 87,000 that impossible. Please look into this matter. Yes believe recall fits my car.
