Electrical System problem #1

On February 18, 2026, while driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle’s automatic emergency braking system activated unexpectedly. There were no vehicles, pedestrians, or obstacles present. The vehicle came to an abrupt stop, causing the tires to squeal and creating a hazardous situation. A second incident occurred on March 14, 2026, while traveling approximately 55 mph. Under normal driving conditions with no apparent hazards, the automatic braking system again engaged suddenly and without warning, bringing the vehicle to an unsafe and unexpected deceleration. This malfunction poses a significant safety risk, as it could lead to rear-end collisions or loss of vehicle control, endangering both the driver and other motorists. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership on March 16, 2026, for inspection. Initial diagnostic testing reportedly found no issues. At my request, the dealership retained the vehicle overnight for further evaluation. Upon pickup, I was informed that a software update was performed on the adaptive cruise control (acc) module; however, no definitive cause of the malfunction was identified. The dealership also indicated that the manufacturer is aware of similar issues but has not provided a resolution at this time. There were no warning lights, alerts, or prior indications of a malfunction before either incident occurred. The problem has not been resolved and may still be present. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

Electrical System problem #2

1. ) I own 2024 Jeep Compass latitude 4x4. Several occasions where rodents have climbed into engine eating away at all the wire components. First time totaling about $4000. No other closely parked cars have been affected since we live in apartment complex. 2. ) the automatic emergency braking light keeps illuminating and has activated at least twice during traffic unprovoked and always says to clean all sensors. We have done that but the light still comes on when it wants to.

Electrical System problem #3

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Compass. The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to respond. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the failure had occurred approximately four times. The vehicle was repaired for the same failure approximately three times. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000.

Electrical System problem #4

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while driving at 35 mph and started to decelerate unintendedly. The check engine and the throttle system warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was test-driven, but the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, who informed the contact about the stored codes. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, clay cooley irving Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram (815 e camp wisdom rd, duncanville, TX 75116), where it was diagnosed and determined that a cell was dead and there was an auxiliary battery failure. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

Electrical System problem #5

The electrical system in my 2025 Jeep Compass repeatedly displays multiple warning messages, including issues with the engine, aeb (automatic emergency braking), and “start/stop disabled. ” recently, the airbag warning light has begun turning on and off daily, advising to “get service. ” when I bring the vehicle to the dealership, the error codes are no longer present, and the technicians say they cannot duplicate the issues. However, while driving recently—with no other vehicles nearby—the aeb system suddenly activated, causing unexpected emergency braking. This is extremely dangerous and could easily lead to an accident. I’m very concerned that the safety features intended to protect me could instead cause harm. The airbag warning appearing and disappearing daily raises fears that the airbags could deploy unexpectedly, especially since service technicians cannot reproduce the warnings. In addition, the vehicle has been in the shop three times this year for what sounds like an exhaust leak, but no issue has been found. These repeated electrical and safety malfunctions indicate a serious defect, and I strongly believe this vehicle should be reviewed for a recall.

Electrical System problem #6

Active lane management jerked me off the road disabled my forward and rear crash detection sensor and my automatic high beams were disabled all simultaneously without warning or any sign scared me and my family since then my forward crash section is permanently on and will not go off I have no active lane management it disabled and said service and for the past 2 weeks has been nothing but electrical failure after electrical failure my dealership says there nothing they can do except clear the codes and reboot the system and see if that helps (we did that it didn't work either) so I feel like I'm paying for something that has only lasted me 17,000 miles and is about to quit because the computer in it or something is causing my Jeep to be unsafe.

Electrical System problem #7

Vehicle started show multiple errors on dash from blind spot not working , lane assist not working, aeb need to be checked, rear brake light not working, turn signal not work, lane assist not working and other errors. Went to dealership for these errors where they repaired a faulty sensor on the front for the lane assist and from collision. Said it was fixed. . . It was not. Within a hour leaving the dealership, if you pressed to turn off the power save button for when the vehicle when it comes to a stop and not idle, the errors all pop up one after another. . They did not correct any of the errors. I check back lighting and they are on and working but errors say they aren't. Front collison day is it not on but it works and alarms a sound. This is dangerous and if it will have dangerous outcome given it would not correct. Also was receiving notification. To pay into a program for future problem the moment it started again (I paid for extra coverage at signing) I don't know if it's electrical, auto start stop, the lights or something else. Car is barely 2 years old with less than 10,000 mi on it (straight for dealership). Dealership do not clear codes or correct the errors no matter me mentioning them to them.

Electrical System problem #8

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the left or right turn signal independently activated. The message "active lane management system unavailable" was displayed on the instrument panel. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

Electrical System problem #9

Check engine light came on after starting to back out of my driveway, dashboard lights flashing. Car just turned off, turned car back on emergency brake turned on by itself, all exterior lights were flashing. Car turned off, I called roadside assistance and they towed to nearest dealership, that was September 4, dealership said they replaced sensor and to come pick up the car, that was sept 16, when I went to pick up the car, when I started it warning lights came on and all exterior lights were flashing. Had to leave the car for dealership to check out, they called and said another sensor was bad, car only has 2013 miles . Still without a car it is now sept 18, . But I still get to pay my lease payment for the whole month. Also car is due for nys inspection but dealership cant do because warning lights are still on.

Electrical System problem #10

The forward crash detection detects objects on the side of the road that do not present a hazard. The vehicle then automatically, abruptly brakes causing temporary loss of control in the vehicle. In one instance the system detected the barriers in a construction zone causing me to almost lose control of the vehicle and crash into the barrier. The problem has been confirmed by both the dealership as well as Jeep. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacture, police, or insurance. There are no lights or indicators of the issue.

Electrical System problem #11

Service four-wheel-drive light keeps on coming off and on on the dash and drive mode unavailable keeps on flashing on the dash no idea why have taken it to the dealership. They cannot figure it out. I’ve asked them to submit a ticket to corporate. They still can’t figure it out. The codes are stored in the system, but they can’t seem to get the codes to go active when they drive it.

Electrical System problem #12

Electrical system is astoundingly horrible in these Jeep Compasses. When steering wheel is turned to make a turned or when it is raining, the dashboard lights up with error messages stating, front collision unavailable, auto high beam unavailable, auto emergency braking limited functionality, blind spot alert unavailable all requiring service. This is not the first Jeep Compass this has happened too, it also happened with my previous Compass - which I took it in for service more than 11 times for these same issues.

Electrical System problem #13

We purchased the car in Jan of 24 (lease) - for my 16 year old. Wanted a safe car that was reliable. We had issues since the start - the interior goes black - nothing inside the car works but it still drives. No blinkers, no back up camera, not heat, no radio, no lights - nothing - it has been in the shop 6 times. Well over 30 days and nothing has fixed the same problem. Jeep has not worked with us on a solution. Awful customer service. We have asked for the lemon law buy back - no follow up or explanation. Looking for any help we can get. This car has been awful/ this has been happening the whole time - but most recent was when we brought it in on 4/4 - and still do not have the car back.

Electrical System problem #14

Initially, the dash light would not go off once the door was closed. It killed the battery therefore had to take it to dealership and leave it, was told it was the auxiliary battery that was causing this. Batteries were charged but not replaced. The next incident was with fog lights. Carrying it to dealership over 6 times to find out from last dealership that the feature on the car was which was not explained when purchased or none of the mechanics could explain. Next I found out that the 3rd brake light was not working. Carried it to dealership only to learn that the wires had been spliced and it did not come from the manufacturer like this. Carried it back to dealership where it was purchased , they installed supposedly safety pulse light which was not working. The mechanics installed a new one which still didn't work. Eventually could not get it to work but got the 3rd brake like to work without the pulse. This was supposed to be a safety feature that the dealership say they put on all of their cars , question was asked if other 2024 Jeeps had issues or was it just mine. The answer was that it doesn't work on all cars. My issue is if dealership installed it should have been corrected before it was sold and also sales people that don't know the details of the car and mechanics likewise. I have a little over 7700 miles on this car and issue started around 2400 miles.

Electrical System problem #15

On Thursday October 3rd I was driving in stop and go city traffic. After accelerating to leave from a light my Jeep died in the middle of the intersection. Total loss of power and slammed to a stop almost causing the person behind me to hit me. It started I drove it back to work. Later that day I left work and stopped to get gas. Turned it off, pumped my gas, went to go turn it back on and it wouldn't start. Just made an engine cranking sound. I hit the button a couple more times and it slowly cranked and started but it was sputtering and the dash and infotainment screen were very dimly lit. When I put it in drive it had no power, like it was in limp mode. I couldn't go past 20mph. My work was only around the corner so I drove it there and had it towed the next day to my closest Chrysler dealership. I have yet to hear back from them. My vehicle has 1,500 miles on it. . . Before this incident, I had lost power to my infotainment screen numerous times and while driving I've felt a jerking while accelerating. I do not feel safe in this vehicle.

Electrical System problem #16

Fog lights go off and on by themselves at times. Forward collision warning continues to trigger and have to be reset. Automatic braking has engaged several times without reason.
