The adaptive cruise, automatic emergency braking, and forward collision warning turns off randomly and the warning lights come on saying they are not working and to take it to the dealership. This has happened around 8 to 10 times. The first being under 1000 miles. I took it to the dealership then and they said nothing was wrong and I need to keep the sensors clean. It makes no difference if the car is just washed or dirty. I’ll be driving on a city street or highway and all of a sudden the warning lights are on. Sometimes they go off by themselves. Sometimes after I turn off the car they are on but when restarted they are off. Finally tonight about 5:45 on the highway multiple warning lights went on. Engine, all safety warnings, transmission warning, overheating warning. I pull over and all the transmission fluid began to pour out onto the highway. I had to pay 178. 00 and wait on the shoulder of a two lane highway for about an hour and a half before the tow truck arrived. I had it left at the dealership and had to pay 80. 00 to get a lyft to my house an hour and 25 minutes away. I will find out tomorrow about the transmission failing but they won’t do anything about the other safety systems going off at random.
We were driving on the highway when the car simply stopped worked. The steering wheel became hard and the gas stopped working while in the middle of the highway. Now the cars is driving but all of the safety lights are on and the safety features are not working. Last week the oil was changed and they reviewed the car and everything was ok, now I need to keep going with my roadtrip in a car I don’t feel safe in, until we can get to a dealership. It’s a car that has 8840 miles on it, less than 6 monte and was taken in to repair the park break 3 times.
3 times the emergency braking has shut off during braking. The emergency braking system goes offline and displays a “needs service indicator” it has been to the dealer for repair 3 times. Each time I was told that there is no current repair solution. They simply reset the system and send me off. Each time the reset works for a few miles but does not solve the problem. The indicator is on again for a 4th time! I have only owned this car for 9 months! this is a major braking problem and needs to be addressed as I feel the company cares little for this safety issue.
