12/16/25 I almost was hit by a mac truck the car kept saying my blind spot was temporarily unavailable and also states auto high beam unavailable service required, in which my screen went black, and the car completely turned off. I took the car into have services on 12/19/25. My car was kept for a week and the service department stated they were unable to created it. My car kept having the service lights come on every day that I drove it. On 12/31/2025, I brought the car in again with a picture of the incident that kept occurring several times on 12/30/25. The service department is stating that they were unable to duplicate the issue, and I picked up my car on 01/09/26. My car continued to have the same problem when I almost home. On 1/11/26, the error message for the blind spot and high beam errors came on 13 times when I was out and about. It seems to happen when making turns, going over small bumps, switching lanes, going around curved ramps, and when picking up speed. I need an email from the corporation to send the video clip to that happened on 01/11/26.

My car has had an ongoing issue where it doesn’t start and has even stopped while I was driving before and not turned on again. I had the battery changed and still the same issue. My gps is not locating the correct location of my car, also the warnings are wrong (blind spot, etc. ) they go off sometimes when there is nothing there. It’s an angojng issue, I only added one incident date but there have been many and I think it is associated to the recalls on this model.

Every time that I get into my Jeep there's an issue with the adas. Almost immediately once I pull onto the highway 3 warnings will appear on the dashboard display the first blind spot temporarily unavailable, then two orange triangles appear on my mirrors and will not go away. It also happens every time that I make a turn in my car. The next warning that appears is my automatic break system is available and "need servicing". My car has less than 12,000 miles on it and is practically brand new. After typing in these problems and doing a quick google search along with a reddit search it appears that this issue is widespread among Jeep Compass owners. Please fix this issue immediately! it's extremely dangerous as I have two children that I'm transporting every single day in my car.

Active lane management jerked me off the road disabled my forward and rear crash detection sensor and my automatic high beams were disabled all simultaneously without warning or any sign scared me and my family since then my forward crash section is permanently on and will not go off I have no active lane management it disabled and said service and for the past 2 weeks has been nothing but electrical failure after electrical failure my dealership says there nothing they can do except clear the codes and reboot the system and see if that helps (we did that it didn't work either) so I feel like I'm paying for something that has only lasted me 17,000 miles and is about to quit because the computer in it or something is causing my Jeep to be unsafe.

Vehicle started show multiple errors on dash from blind spot not working , lane assist not working, aeb need to be checked, rear brake light not working, turn signal not work, lane assist not working and other errors. Went to dealership for these errors where they repaired a faulty sensor on the front for the lane assist and from collision. Said it was fixed. . . It was not. Within a hour leaving the dealership, if you pressed to turn off the power save button for when the vehicle when it comes to a stop and not idle, the errors all pop up one after another. . They did not correct any of the errors. I check back lighting and they are on and working but errors say they aren't. Front collison day is it not on but it works and alarms a sound. This is dangerous and if it will have dangerous outcome given it would not correct. Also was receiving notification. To pay into a program for future problem the moment it started again (I paid for extra coverage at signing) I don't know if it's electrical, auto start stop, the lights or something else. Car is barely 2 years old with less than 10,000 mi on it (straight for dealership). Dealership do not clear codes or correct the errors no matter me mentioning them to them.
I purchased a brand new 2025 Jeep Compass latitude, and shortly after, I started getting repeated error messages for several safety features, lane departure unavailable, blind spot monitoring unavailable, auto high beam unavailable, and automatic emergency braking unavailable. These warnings appear randomly: sometimes as soon as I start driving, other times 5–10 minutes later, or even after 30 minutes to an hour of driving. There’s no consistent pattern, and when they activate, all the affected systems stop functioning until I restart the vehicle. I’ve taken the vehicle to the dealership three times for this issue. The first time, I was told there was nothing they could do because no active code showed at that moment. The second time, they said they couldn’t look at it because they had no loaner available. The third time, I left it for nearly two weeks. They said they test-drove it, the error never came on, and that Jeep engineers have acknowledged this is a known issue with some Jeep and Dodge models. I was told there may eventually be a recall or software update, possibly within a year, but no fix is available right now. I don’t feel safe driving a new vehicle with unreliable safety features that turn off unexpectedly and can’t be repaired. I rely on these systems for highway and night driving, and it’s unsettling that the dealer and manufacturer both admit to an issue but expect me to continue driving and just wait for a future update.
Vehicle causes alerts that the indicated functions are not available or need servicing. Vehicle has been serviced at Jeep dealer for repair but continues to emit false messages that the stated safety features are not available. This is a safety hazard due to the alerts causing distraction while driving. Pop up on screen with a beep.
The screen on the dash has quit working and the backup camera does not work this started when we got snow, thought once weather warmed up things it would work tried the reset button to no avail. Hesitated about buying another Jeep now I wish I hadn’t nothing but trouble.

A few weeks are I bought the car, it started having sensor issues. It would tell me that my brake lights are out, my lane assist is not available, my turn signals are not available, etc. After spending weeks at the mechanics, the dealership gave me the car back and said that everything was fine. A week later, all of the sensors started messing up again one of the sensors that was messing up was the auto brake system. As I was driving on the highway at 75 mph, the car thought that I was about to hit another car. There were no cars around to activate this auto braking system, but the car slammed on the brakes in the middle of the highway. It spent another few weeks with the dealership mechanics and is now having the same issues.
Bought my vehicle new at 29 miles. At 4k miles my auto braking light would come in as off. Every 2k it would turn itself off, even though I want the feature on. Even though it says it's off there will be times the warning will alert me to brake for no reason and someone's brake for no reason. I've gone to the dealer multiple times and they wouldn't find a code or a reason why it was doing that, and brush it off like nothing. Every 2k miles out would turn off. Now after hitting over 40k miles I started to experience it more often where it would tell me brake. Now something at 49k miles. When I'm on a slight hill or high incline when my vehicle turns off and tries to start it will roll back and not move forward even when I apply the gas like the engine is still off. When that happens the service hill holder, and then multiple other safety features have warnings for, service electronic stability control, drive mode unavailable, active lane management unavailable service required, auto emergency braking unavailable service required, stop/start unavailable service start/stop system. I told the dealer that had my car for a month at 49k miles about the hill holder and what my vehicle did. No results and still have this issue. When you turn off the vehicle the service lights disappear and can't be read. This happens almost every day now. I replaced my aux battery after it seems to happen when my vehicle is off and struggled to turn back on at times and it still does it. I'm afraid that I'm going to get into an accident when people see I took my foot off the brake and will get rear ended or if my vehicle is going to brake itself and cause an accident or the other safely issue fail. The stability control can be an issue and drive mode I can't turn off or on those features when those notifications pop up. What can happen, will it eventually do this on a freeway and cause a major accident or when I'm through an intersection. . 5 different dealers and have no answer. . . Help.
When driving the car will randomly active automatic emergency braking, which is especially dangerous on the highway. Lane departure has pulled me to the wrong lane, or will randomly become unavailable. Blind spot monitoring occasionally doesn’t work, or will also randomly become unavailable. Dealership made aware but unable to recreate circumstances in which they become unavailable or faulty. There are never prior warnings, this will happen whenever. There are multiple other ‘24 Jeep Compass owners who report the same issue online.
Car started beeping and information center was flashing and drive indicator was flashing . At another time car shifted in reverse and would not move. Humming sound coming from front right wheel at 40mph and would not go away until until 60mph. Was told it was the all wheel drive system.
I have spent over 2500. 00 on my hid headlights. They keep blowing I have replaced the headlight assembly along with bulbs many times. From what I can read it is an ongoing problem with this model. Also my lane departure system goes from side to side does not keep my Jeep centered in the lane.
Since the last over-the -air (ota) software update, numerous systems have malfunctioned and then fixed themselves. The exception is the dashboard lighting problem to be addressed by NHTSA recall # 23v-576, fca recall # 88a which also started with the latest update, is continuous, not intermittent. I feel the most serious malfunction is when a turn signal will not turn off, irregardless of manual control/lever use. Overall, my main question / complaint is since all these problems were installed by the ota update, why can't the fixes also be installed ota instead of having going to the dealership? thank you.
The vehicle makes these noises at times. Seems like the brakes at times then it drives ok. Took it in to the dealership they say nothing is wrong with the vehicle. Went to pick up my daughter. Had music on inside the SUV couldn’t hear the noise seems like. She said, the vehicle was sounding loud before I pulled up to get her. I observed the sounds from underneath the vehicle a week after I purchased the vehicle. Each time I take it back to the dealer. No sounds. I’m afraid to drive this vehicle. They think I’m lying at the dealership. I’ve been to the dealership for the headrest twice and the sounds. The warnings are not that great on the vehicle either. They work sometimes.
Over the past several months vehicle has been repaired four separate times by dealership and issue keeps recurring. Forward collision sensor, blind spot indicator, and active lane assistance intermittently malfunction creating unsafe driving situations that have almost caused several major accidents involving multiple vehicles. Examples of near misses of collisions include forward collision activating incorrectly when there aren't vehicles or objects in front of vehicle when turning through intersections and brakes are applied stopping vehicle from safely clearing intersection from oncoming traffic creating a potential collision from on coming traffic when unable to accelerate to avoid impact. Other times forward collision sensor has malfunctioned by activating during highway driving when it activated and applied brakes without reason causing vehicle to impede flow of traffic and abruptly stopping vehicle causing vehicles from behind to slam on their brakes and swerve into on comming traffic to prevent rear-end collision. Sensors randomly display on dash indicating malfunction and repair needed. During repair service at dealership they follow manufacturers recommendations and are unable to replicate malfunction during test drive so vehicle is returned. Within a week sensors intermittently continue to malfunction with no solution creating more potential traffic safety issues.
There is a known issue with multiple 2022 Jeep Compass trims and models that, after long periods of driving (about an hour), the volume for all components utilizing sound becomes barely audible even at max volume. This affects all warning systems including blind spot, lane departure, etc. Upon turning off the vehicle for long periods of time (a few hours) the volume will return, but the issue will occur again if driving for an hour plus with short stops. Jeep has acknowledged the concern for over a year on Jeep forums and dealers are not helpful regarding the issue. Jeep states there will be an update to the uconnect system controlling audio functions in q4 2022. But Jeep has yet to release an update with 2 weeks left to go in the year despite knowing of the issue since end of 2021. I have additional concerns for safety as I have to disengage hands free audio during long drives due to the volume issue causing further distraction and complications on top of not having audio for any other integrated components (like gps, radio, etc. ) in addition to the safety features. . Read more...
As the vehicle is driven for longer periods of time (over 45 minutes), the instrument panel and control system for the car freezes and slowly fades out on the audio. Once the audio is faded completely it can no longer play the radio, calls or any alerts. The issue continues with freezing the instrument panel and the lane assist, collision warning and pedestrian sensors stop working. This becomes a safety issue as you can no longer use the hands-free device as your car auto-connects via blue tooth. It is also a major issue as the sensors on the vehicle are not dependable for operation. This happens every time you operate the vehicle for longer periods of time.
Ever since I got my car back in about June of 2022 my safety features randomly turn on and off. For example. My active lane management symbol pops up randomly and sometimes it takes days for it to go off. Also I will always have my front collision warning off symbol on. I don’t manually turn it on and off. The car does it itself. Then I will sometimes get a pop up on the dashboard that says auto high beams are disabled. Service required. Also the orange lights on the side mirrors will sometimes stay on permanently and they don’t work. Then lastly sometimes the volume of the car randomly goes out. I have tried to have this serviced but Jeep refused. They made me take it to an auto body shop. The auto body shop thought it was a calibration issues of the safety sensors. So they tried a reset and realignment and that didn’t fix the issue. I feel like this issue is very unsafe because these safety features aren’t consistently on. They randomly go on and off. It will be nice if someone can help me with this concern. Thanks.
I did an oil change mid August and found bits of metal in the oil at 50,000 miles, ive change the oil every 5000 miles. I haven't been rough with it and also every time I get on the highway or rev my engine up to 4000 rpm the transmission slips hard on the 4th gear usually. If I have it on fwd it slips as well. The blind spot warning goes off randomly sometimes as well.
This is the third time this has happened to me. The second time I took it to the dealership for inspection and was told they could not locate any issues. The first time it happened, I had started my vehicle, and it was running for around 3-4 minutes while I got my child settled in the backseat. By the time I made it back to the drivers seat, I heard noises alerting me to issues. Multiple lights showed up on the dash, and when I went into the menu it would tell me system failure, and service required. Prior to this, there weren't any indicators as to some sort of failure was going to happen. After a few days I was able to manually reset the notifications.
Blind spot warning message comes up "blind spot temporarily unavailable". At this time the lights on each mirror freeze and stay on, and blinker will not turn off. This happens frequently when using the blinker and changing lanes on the interstate. You can sometimes touch blinker again and it will go off and the lights on mirror will then go off. However, sometimes you have no control of getting the blinker to shut off and lights to go off on mirrors. Problem was recreated once, and dealer thought they had it fixed. It started doing it again the next day. I took to dealer again and they could not recreate the problem. Since there is no recall on this issue, they are unable to locate what is causing this. I spoke with dealership again and they asked me to try to bring it in if possible, when problem occurs. I have agreed to do this. Dealership has been very helpful trying to get this problem figured out, but they haven't been able to get it corrected so far.

My Jeep has had intermittently headlight issues, along w/ blind spot not working on driver side, + start/stop doesn’t work. I’ve had the headlights replaced, didn’t work. Been told that because issue isn’t happening when in dealers care, then they can’t fix for other issues. ?this didn’t start happening until uconnect bricked my radio system with an update and I had to get it repaired (took two months) — I firmly believe it’s a electrical issue that stems from that but nobody (Jeep) is listening.
