When it is raining or when the snow on my Jeep begins to melt, the sunroof leaks. The sunroof controlls and overhead lights (which is located next to the sunroof) fills up with water and leak all over; on the driver, front passenger, dashboard, etc. Creating a distraction while attempting to drive.

Takata recall. At random moments without hitting the wipper switch at all the windshield wipers will come on. This has happened multiple times. Sometimes if I turn my blinker on which is a opposite stick they will activate. When this does happen my lights will flicker very briefly. I have had no kind of alterations done to the vehicle cosmetic or electrical so I have no clue what is causing this. And yes every time it happens it's while the vic is in motion.
I have been experiencing a problem with my car cutting off, especially while stopped at a red light more often than not on local roadways. If it doesn't completely shut off the sensation to cut off is definitely felt. I originally thought it was the spark plugs and had those replaced, however, the situation continues to persist. I have been told on one or more occasions it may be the fuel pump. I was recommended I take my vehicle directly to the dealership. The other issue that is also very pronounced is the noise my engine makes while idling. It can best described as a loud whirling sound but not quite a rattle. I have never heard my car sound so noisy. I have noticed perhaps in the last 6 months the windshield wipers come on involuntarily without me engaging their use. I have searched Jeep's website regarding any recall information on these aforementioned issues but to no avail.

My Jeep is currently back at the dealership for the second time because the esc turns off/on own its own. The first time this happened, the abs and check engine lights came on and stayed on. The dealership said it was a faulty sensor and replaced it. Now a few months later it is doing the same thing again, and now the windshield wipers come on when I use the left/right turn signals, turn the headlights on, and sometimes just driving down the road. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle. The dealership service manager stated to my husband that its not safe for the vehicle do this. However, the dealership says that the vehicle does not display an error code, and they cannot recreate these issues. Vehicle also makes a grinding noise when turning and the steering feels very vague and bouncy. These issues happen randomly during both city and highway driving. My Jeep is a 2014 Compass, fwd, 5-speed manual transmission. It has been at the dealership for over a week this time. The esc issue is a safety issue, as well as, the wipers. It seems to be an electrical issue and makes me wonder if the airbags, abs, cruise control, etc. Are at risk of failure to operate properly.
1. Fuel pump started arching and nozzle to hose was coming loose-smelt gas while in motion, gas gauge started dropping dramatically 2. Horn stopped working-while driving I tried to warn another vehicle who was trying to back out while I was behind them, luckily they heard me yelling 3. Back windshield wiper stopped working while in motion trying to back out in the rain 4. Struts went 5. Rotors went 6. Cross member-noticed while driving and took 2 weeks before dealership could get my appointment right to get it taken care of since it was recalled 7. Tipm is going. Lost power to 2/2 outlets in the vehicle. 8. Cv axle is going. Sounds really bad and sounds like both passenger and driver side. Treated this vehicle with lots of care and so did previous owner. This tells me this is not a reliable vehicle and a safe vehicle I can drive my daughter in.
Brakes have been squeaking from day one ,took to dealer on 03-23-15,they replace pads and turned rotors also did the same with rear brakes . Few weeks later doing same thing and still getting louder. This occur when backing out parking place.
When running the ac the windshield inside becomes foogy and makes ot harder to see when driving. Chrysler says its normal. Could cause a fatal acident.
The wipers have stopped working took it to a dealer shop and was told it was the tipm modular which after looking into it is a common problem with these vehicles this is a pricey fix and should have a recall on this.
While in bad weather conditions, wipers totally stopped working. Electrical issue. Car cannot be driven in rain conditions.
The steering wheel is shaking after driving around 40 miles. Have had the car realigned and bought several new tired get this problem still occurs. The horn goes off in its own whether driving or stationary, and without anyone pressing on the horn. The check engine light stats on even after taken to be serviced. This has occurred for several months.

Windshield wipers go off for no apparent reason. Sometimes when I turn right, sometimes when I turn left, sometimes just when I"m going straight. They go off mostly once, sometimes 2 to 4 times. It happens more in warmer weather. In winter they go of randomly every 20 to 400 miles. Now that its warm they go off randomly every 1 to 10 miles (even multiple times). Been to the dealer twice and I'm bringing it back for a third time.
