Headlights problems of the 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Six problems related to headlights have been reported for the 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2003

Both headlight covers are so discolored and foggy that it cuts down night time driving visibility to less than 50% of its orignal brightnes/. 996 Jeep grand,cherokee, 4fx58s3tc335842.

2 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 07/06/2002

Vehicle failed va state safety inspection due to headlamp lenses being discolored due to exposing car to sunlight. I am contacting the dealer on Monday morning.

3 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2001

Vehicle shut down without prior warning steering wheel locked up. Back wheel bearing were still rubbiing, and headlights go on and off. Dealership is aware of problems.

4 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 12/22/1998

Dealer has looked at the vehicle, and found no problems, however, it still doesn't work correctly. As well, the passenger front door panel came a part, the tail pipe rattles, the front right shock bushing failed, the panic alarm sometimes will not disenguage, there is a vibration at 55mph, the front left speaker has come loose and makes a rattle, the cruise control over/under accels/decels, and the headlights will sometimes stay on after you turn them off.

5 Headlights problem

Failure Date: 12/06/1996

One headlight is brighter than the other one.

6 Headlights problem

Left head lamp failed.
