Failure Date: 09/20/2000

This is the second bearing failure for my vehicle. I also personally know of 3 other vehicle owners who are or have experienced the same bearing failure in their Jeeps.

5 Axle Shaft problem

Failure Date: 02/10/2000

Rear end bearing noises, dealer says they have been having problems with them and they now just prefer to replace the whole rear end instead of trying to rebuild them. I asked them if they could just replace the bearings, and they replied that it would be cheaper and more effective to just throw a whole new rear-end in. Expensive and time consuming. I am going to have a private mechanic look at it in the next day or so.
