Front Seat Heater/cooler problems of the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Three problems related to front seat heater/cooler have been reported for the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Seat Heater/cooler problem

Failure Date: 12/03/2002

Driver's seat heater felt very hot in one spot. This continued for several weeks before the seat heater stopped working. I have heard of other incidents where there were burn marks in the seat , but I this case there appears to be none. I contacted daimler Chrysler which refused to do anything despite the fact that this problem occured two years ago and was repaired at my expense.

2 Front Seat Heater/cooler problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2002

Wire in driver's side seat that helps seat to heat up had a short in it, and caused a small burned hole in seat, when checking the seat wire was burned, and other wires were also burned.

3 Front Seat Heater/cooler problem

Failure Date: 11/05/1997

Seat heater failed.
