Driving along the roadway at approximately 45 mph the automobile shut down (no gas-no ignition-no dash lights). I pulled of the road, tried to, but would not start. After sitting there for 45 minutes it started again. This has happened five more times since. The last time on I-95 in a construction zone with very limited access to leave the highway. No more driving on main roads and highways. Chrysler dealer didn't have any knowledge of problems like this.
My wife was driving in traffic and the Jeep stops in traffic. It took her s couple of minutes to get it franked. As soon as she pulls off it shuts off again. Really in Friday traffic herd in atlanta. Dangerous!!.
I am concerned that my vehicle is not going to be recalled. I have read that if I am struck from behind my car could catch fire. I am experiencing some other issues with the car, one of which is it dying everytime I push the accelerator. So I am terrified that if I pull out into traffic and it dies, like it does regularly, I will be rear-ended and my car will burst into flames and my kids, including an infant, in the back seat will die in the fire. Something needs to be done about this before another person, child or adult, loses their life!.
My car has major problems and I can't afford to fix, then I find the problem that I have is due to the automaker's problem because the car is on recalls for the problems I am having. I received no notices on any recall, and when I got on the web-site to check for recalls there are as many as 10 major problems with my car and Jeep. Some could cause me to crash or even explode while driving. Where are my recall notices?.
