1 Tail Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 12/08/2017

The break tail lamp shots out and had to replace the unit twice this year and the was wiring shots to the break light and it cost me $1500 for the break light wiring shot and the tail light assemble. I have had this problem for 3 yrs consecutive and I think it is a safety issue since it is the breaks lighting and their has been multiple complaints about the same issue for this vehicle on line. I think that Chrysler should recall all this vehicles and rewire them for free since it is a safety fitcher. The whole break wiring had melted because it had a shot and burnt the bulb sockets and assemble unit.

6 Tail Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 11/14/2012

I know of at least 4 people who have Jeep vehicles and we are constantly replacing the tail light, brake light and or having issues with electrical functions. Within 2years I have personally replaced my entire driver tail light, bulbs 4 times. I have searched for any recalls and I have only found 1, but nothing in regards to electrical and or brake light issues.

7 Tail Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 04/04/2011

I have replaced the rear passenger tail light multiple times. The light will not illuminate with a new bulb. The rear passenger window regulator has become ungrounded multiple times. There is no power on the passenger side of the car. I have spoken to multiple Jeep owners with models of the same make and model and they have had the same issue of sorts. I had contacted Jeep as well, only to be told the vehicle is old. I purchased the car 9/2007 and within one months time the regulator died and was repaired. The vehicle was 3 years old. The regulator on the same window failed and the taillight began to malfunction.

8 Tail Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 05/15/2008

My 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokees tail light goes out when the brake is applied. I've replaced the bulb twice. It is a widespread problem from what I've read on the internet. Plus, I was ticketed twice (after initial replacement) and warned a third time.

9 Tail Light Switch problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2007

I recently purchased a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and noticed the right tail light was out. It was repaired and then went out again recently. It is not the bulb! my father also has a Jeep Grand Cherokee and he too has a tail light that doesn't work on a consistent basis. I have since begun to notice that there are many other Jeeps with driving around with tail lights out. I am wondering if it is some kind of manufacturing flaw in the light or the wiring system. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in researching the matter. I am afraid I am going to get a ticket for a problem that I believe to be fixed when the thing goes out again.
