Tl-the contact owns a 2014 Jeep cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at any speed, the vehicle shifted gears automatically, jerking hard enough to throw the occupants off their seats were it not for seat belts. The most recent incident occurred while the contact was driving 65 mph: the transmission failed, the vehicle lost power and the contact was forced to stop at the middle of the road, turned the engine off, restarted and coasted to the side. The transmission and check engine lights illuminated. The vehicle was restarted and taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the vehicle needed a new transmission but that a new transmission would not be available until November. The vehicle continued to loose transmission. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and promised to work with the dealer, to provide a rental vehicle. The failure mileage was 17,800. Fe.
2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with heated seat issue. Consumer states that the vehicle has been taken to the dealer several times for the heated seat problem. She also states that there is a wire or rod poking through the driver seat. The consumer also stated the transmission failed, there was a problem with the power steering, the blend doors in the heating system, the passenger side window fell down in to the door panel, and the hood struts failed. The consumer stated the heated seat issue had been recalled. The engine light illuminated and it was determined that the oxygen sensor needed to be replaced.
