1 Air Bag On-off Switch problem

Failure Date: 11/24/2016

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Consumer writes in regards to ignition switch safety recall. The consumer stated the while attempting to make a left turn the steering and brakes failed. The vehicle went off the road and about 15 feet nose first into a gully. The air bags did not deploy. 2 Air Bag On-off Switch problem

Failure Date: 02/10/2016

Noticed the "pass air bag warning light" was staying on all the time. Then I received a p41 ignition switch recall. Took the car to a Chrysler dealer for ignition switch replacement. Air bag warning light still stays on after switch replacement. My reasoning is that the air bag warning light originally came on because the original ignition switch was faulty and caused damage to the air bag and/or it's sensor circuitry. Is there any recourse under this recall to rectify this air bag warning light problem with hopefully no cost to me.

3 Air Bag On-off Switch problem

Failure Date: 07/23/2015

In rush hour traffic, the car would lose power everytime the car came to a stop or idled. 3 days later, the car lost power in speed limit traffic after going over the railroad tracks. Since then, it loses power at every stop. If I am not aware, the car rolls into oncoming traffic! I took the car to my nearest dealer. They confirmed that it was the ignition switch that has been recalled and a part hasn't been sent to dealers. I called Chrysler and all they did was put me on a list! they apologized for me not having a car to drive and that was it! they would not provide me with a timeline of when the part would be ready. They refused to provide me with a loaner vehicle while it was off the road. I have lost my mode of transportation unless I want to risk my and my family's life, and they say there is nothing they can do even though they are at fault!.

4 Air Bag On-off Switch problem

Failure Date: 09/17/2014

I have been waiting and waiting to get this problem rendered. I received a recall notice about the faulty ignition switch and the slew of possible fatal consequences should anything occur. The recall notice is p41/NHTSA 14v-438, and ive been told I would receive a second recall notice in September 2015. Well, im still waiting!!. Meanwhile I am driving a potentially dangerous vehicle and have been for quite awhile. I have no choice. I have already noticed my check engine light stays lit on my dash, as well as my airbag light as well indicating that I already have issues occurring that are according to the recall notice is linked to this problem. I want this fixed. I cant afford to buy another vehicle and need the one I have. However, am I suppossed to get seriously injured or killed first? then what,? a family member receives a check? who cares about the money if I'm killed? I am seriously annoyed and concerned, please render this issue. And I'm sick of hearing "we dont have the part". I need this vehicle fixed now!!! its been too long already.

5 Air Bag On-off Switch problem

Failure Date: 06/02/2014

At approximate June 2014 I received a recall notice for the ignition switch. Chrysler said approx. Delivery of September 2014. I have not heard or received anything since then. My concern other than the unsafe ignition switch situation is that every time I use my Jeep, my airbag warning light flashes on and off continueously. As time goes on, the worse it gets. My dealer says he has checked others vehicles with the same problem; his best guess is it's related to the ignition switch. He also said the airbag should be a concern because it may activate at any time. . . Even without an accident! Chrysler told me not to be concerned. . . How can I not be concerned? what else can I do?.

6 Air Bag On-off Switch problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2009

When starting ignition, wipers activate. While driving, headlights and instrument panel flash intermittently. When starting ignition and while driving, air conditioner blower shuts down, cuts out intermittently and blower, when operative, only works on high. Sometimes switching to off and restarting or hitting a bump activates blower. At one time opening and closing the glove compartment activated blower but not any longer. Passenger air bag lights continuously.

7 Air Bag On-off Switch problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2005

My front passenger side seat air bagswarning lights keeps going on and off, when I position the passenger side seat forward or back dont know why it does that or my head lights flickers while driving on and off, had this problem since I purchase this car from the Jeep dearler in December 2005,now realizing it could be electrial problem in the starting ignition switch, need to play with the wires under the passenger side seat to reset the warning light to stop blinking and warning sound to stop or the air bag light on the dash will flash showing it is off.

8 Air Bag On-off Switch problem

Failure Date: 06/14/2005

Air bag warning light goes on intermittently. Jeep told me it has to do with the switch in the passenger seat. Jeep said that after someone sits in the passenger seat a few times that switch will work properly and the light will not go on anymore.
