1 Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem

The valve stem on a Jeep 2006 tire sensor valvestem broke off causing the tire to prematurely lose air that can cause similar problem like with Ford explorer tires blowing out. It can cause injury if person is in front of it to add air into tire. Dealer stated number of problems with the piece corroding at the cap area. Dealer stated having problem with recent year vehicles as well. No recall but dealer stated over 10,000 units backordered due to same issue. My car is a Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2006, VIN [xxx].
