1 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 04/05/2012

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4. . My driver side window panel for the passenger window goes down but not up and stops mid way and goes back down. I just had my starter replace due to corrosion of the connectors, and dealer would not replace connectors, just brushed off and stated I need new starter. . . .

2 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 10/22/2010

After being parked the Jeep would not start, code displayed in the dash stated transmission over temp, after sitting for about 30 more minutes the Jeep started - drove home and it would not start again - took it to a garage and they could not get the problem to replicate after having it for a week. July 5, 2011 - Jeep would not start again, transmission over temp code, still intermittent, after 2 weeks the garage replaced the transmission control module, August 6, 2012 - transmission over temp error code, this time it will not start after any pause in driving, had it towed to the dealer and they are saying its the starter (Jeep now has about 65,000 miles on it) - also had to replace the right front speed sensor (it is bad and causing the traction control system not to function properly). [additional notes: had to replace the esm at 28596 miles, Jeep loss of engine power and all lights lit up on gear shifter, at 27170 miles had to replace both front window regulators].

4 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 11/12/2007

The auto up/down feature for the drivers side power window does not work. When using the button, the window will go up a bit then back down, then up and down. Could potentially be a problem in that the window will not close.

6 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 11/02/2007

Power window failure (design flaw) my driver and passenger windows have both failed. After research on the internet, this is a common problem for Jeep and they have not addressed the issue, still selling the defective part with no modifications to correct issue.

7 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 10/11/2007

We have had the windows in our 2002 Jeep cherokee just drop, when taken to the dealer the whole window regulator has to be replaced, even though it is a small piece that breaks. The same window twice has now fallen. The dealer rep said this is a huge problem for the Jeep line and they have had to order large ammounts of the regulators to keep up with the breakage. We have a 2006 Jeep liberty at the tv station I work at and both of the rear windows did the same thing, yet no recall by the manfacuter, when asked at the dealer they just shrug their sholder the cost of the unit is around $450 dollars and then the cos of labor thank you.

8 Power Window problem

Failure Date: 06/20/2007

The auto up-down for windows goes up then down the up then down, and continues like this. It might be possible to get your hand caught in the window or district the driver while trying to fix the problem or you must leave the window open and hope the car does not get stolen or damaged. The dealer stated that the parts to fix this problem was currently under review by the legal department of Jeep, and they were trying to keep this problem a low profile before the government found out.
