The hood on my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee fell on my head. The hydraulic pistons does not keep it up and there is no mechanical means to secure it.
Rear hatch open error - illuminating interior lights - when hatch was firmly secure. Continual chime - error message and interior illumination occurred. Took for service at Jeep dealer - informed the latch was bad and would need to be replaced.
