The car will not start with ignition fob. This happens unpredictably. It has been doing this for a long time. We thought it was the battery but now, with a new battery it still often will not start. If we wait for some unknown period of time it eventually cranks and starts. We never know when and if we can leave or visa versa for returning home. When ever this happens the vehicle is stationary in legal parking place. However, it has cut off will driving.
4 issues: 1. Vehicle will not restart right away after the key fob has been turned off and sometimes I have to get out and disengage the battery for it to start again. 2. Key fob will come out of ignition when it is turned to accessory. 4. Key fob is able to come out when vehicle is running. 3. Sometimes key will not come out of ignition if it locks up. There are recalls on this problem with Jeeps but for some reason not my vehicle. I did have it fixed at the Jeep dealer but it is doing the same thing after $600. 00 . This is a safety feature when the key comes out of the ignition before turning vehicle off.
