The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the mechanic was not able to restart the vehicle. The contact was then notified that there was no fuel pressure and a fuel system test and injector return test were needed to look for internal fuel damage. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact believed that the failure was associated to manufacturer recall: w57 or w68. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
