The contact owns a 2015 Jeep cherokee. The contact stated that the liftgate initially failed to close completely after use. The contact manually pushed the liftgate into the latch to ensure the liftgate was closed. Recently, the contact stated that the liftgate inadvertently slammed closed while opened. The contact stated that the liftgate failed to close securely despite using excessive force. The contact stated that moisture was entering the vehicle due to the failure. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.

Latches/locks/linkage problem #2

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 22v406000(fuel system, diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted and it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced the failure. In addition, the rear power liftgate door latch had malfunctioned and the rear liftgate door would not remain secured. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not yet contacted regarding the failure. The contact indicated that the vehicle was previous repaired for the same failure. The failure mileage was 118,000. Door Latch problem #3

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the driver's side and passenger's side doors were making an abnormal squealing sound. The driver's side door failed to close without warning. The vehicle was taking to the local dealer and diagnosed that the door hinge needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.
