I purchased a 2022 Jeep, my miles are under 20000, I took it to the dealership and told them something was going on with the vehicle. They checked the vehicle and said nothing was wrong with it. I ended up taking it back because the situation got worse, they finally told me it was my suspension. I also told them about the recall that was over looked. They told me to pick up my vehicle with no explanation to why. I had a warranty and there was no reason for them to deny me service.
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the safety risk highlighted in the open recall 24v-132. Upon reviewing the details provided, particularly the issue involving the damaged pinch bolt which may break and lead to a loss of clamp load between the uca ball joint and the knuckle, I am gravely concerned about the potential consequences. As someone who prioritizes the safety of myself, my loved ones, and others on the road, it is distressing to contemplate the possible ramifications of such a failure. The prospect of the uca separating from the knuckle and the wheel subsequently falling outboard poses a significant threat not only to the occupants of the vehicle but also to other road users. In particular, the thought of being in a situation where the safety of my three children, or anyone else for that matter, is compromised due to this issue is deeply unsettling. The absence of prior warning exacerbates the seriousness of the situation, as it leaves little room for proactive measures to mitigate the risk. Given these circumstances, I implore you to take immediate action to address this safety concern and ensure the prompt implementation of necessary repairs or replacements as outlined in the recall. The well-being of everyone involved is paramount, and it is crucial that swift and decisive steps are taken to minimize the likelihood of any potential accidents or injuries. I appreciate your attention to this matter and trust that you will prioritize the safety of all individuals affected by this recall.
Tire pressure monitoring system failure multiple times a week. I've taken it into the service department several times and they can't seem to find a fix. Every time I get the alarm on my car, I have to get out, check all the tires to make sure I can drive safely. My sister in law has the same car and they are getting these alarms too. Jeep needs to get a fix for this ASAP.
My car now has 2 open recalls associated with it (for a grand total of 5 overall) - and it only has 9,580 miles on it. The latest recall, 24v-132, does not have a remedy yet available. Jeep indicates the earliest they will be able to fix my car is April 8, 2024. I have told them numerous times I feel it is unsafe to drive. They are not giving me a loaner. They are not giving me a rental. I am stuck until "someone from the recall division calls" me back. Even though it's a rist of the wheels falling off, which can cause a wreck with no warning! recall 24v-11 was enacted on 2/15/24. My defrost system doesn't work well . . .
- my spare tire, lane assist, and/or emergency breaking, which none went into effect during the incident. - I was forced off the road where I collided with a parked car on the side of the street, which led me to being taken by ambulance to the local hospital. - not yet, my vehicle is currently at a body shop being repaired. - I asked my insurance to investigate when they went for the appraisal, but am unsure if it was done. - no warnings were given prior to the collision.
Lower control arm bracket failed. Yes available for inspection. The adaptive cruse lane assist function malfunctioned. Yes available for inspection. I was injured. Police inspected the wheel and called it into question a manufacture defect in the police report. Manufacture (Jeep) acknowledges it but has been unresponsive. No warning when the wheel assembly disengaged (wheel, brake, tie rod, control arm, stub axel from the vehicle) traveling at 67 mph prior to crashing into a barrier.
We purchased this grand wagoneer on mon June 27th and left for our family vacation we had planned in oklahoma. We live in castle rock, CO. The next day on Tuesday as we were driving on the I-35 the transmission would drop out of gear and the rpm's would rev up. This would be while doing nothing but driving normally . Then it happened about 5 times over the course of 1. 5 hours. We stopped for gas in and upon leaving to re enter the interstate the vehicle would kick when the gas was pressed. My definition of kicking is that the front end would kick right and the rear end would kick left. This was with any amount of torque from acceleration. In trying to figure out what is going on I called the closest Jeep dealership fowler to see if we can stop in and have them re program the transmission assuming that or the drivetrain might have been the issue. But then as I was driving it was making the vehicle kick more and it was getting scary as the vehicle could have flipped if I wasn't being as careful as I was. We were going to try to coast our way slowly to the dealership to avoid being stranded and try not to accelerate much but within a few minutes a large noise like we were carrying a train under out car started and it was very obvious something was wrong as the car was pulling and making lots of noises. I pulled over and looked under the car. Everything looked fine other than an enormous amount of grease on the frame by the rear right wheel/inside. There were zero warning lights, errors or messages of any kind on the dash throughout all of these issues. The diagnosis is that the cv boot ruptured and the axle separated from the frame also destroying the differential. In turn, the only conclusion is that it was not assembled correctly at the factory. The parts are at fowler Jeep right now in ok. Jeep is repairing it but not buying it back. This vehicle is unsafe and noone in their right mind would want to drive this car again with the unknown.
