Blind Spot Detection problems of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee

While driving on a local neighborhood street at approximately 38 miles per hour, ( cruise control possibly engaged) , all the lights on my dashboard suddenly illuminated. A messages appeared stating that service was required for every guidance and braking system. At that moment I became concerned, so I attempted to use the brake. Despite pressing the brake pedal as hard as I could, the car did not slow down. I cannot remember if I downshifted using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel, but I was able to coast to a manageable speed and pull into a parking lot. I then turned the vehicle off and on again, but all the warning lights remained on the dashboard. After waiting for about five minutes, the vehicle was restarted, and this time none of the warning lights were on. Since I was very close to home, I drove the rest of the way very slowly. Later, I searched online and discovered that other people have experienced this same problem. Some of the information I read suggested that water can get into a component, and it had been raining on the day of the incident and the day before. My primary safety concern is what would have happened if I had been approaching a stoplight or driving on a freeway where I needed to stop suddenly. I am confident that I would not have been able to stop in time to avoid a crash. It is frightening to think of what could happen if a child were to run into the street and this happening. I immediately made an appointment with my local Jeep dealership. The dealer has since driven the vehicle 98 miles but has not yet been able to replicate the issue.

One my navigation is lost second my stop and start button light is on and most importantly the sensors seem off changing lanes beeps at wrong time I feel these things seem wrong a few times now.

My vehicles electrical system has completely stopped working due to a software update that Jeep is applying to their vehicles. For some reason my vehicle is not up for recall for this issue.

Started engine and had no power steering plus all warning lights on dash.

Power steering would not work said to service blind spot unavailable and service electronic stability control.

Power steering and other warning lights, including blind spot monitoring and lane assist, came on in a Grand Cherokee. I was unable to move the vehicle - the power steering was locked. Fortunately, it wasn’t on the road, but the driver was stranded until able to get the vehicle started eventually. The issue with the power steering is concerning, especially while driving. The engine light has remained on since.

After starting 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, multiple warnings displayed on dash including: service power steering, service electronic stability control, blind spot alert unavailable service required, and rear braking assist unavailable. The ignition was fully turned on and after shifting into reverse, there was no power steering which required extra effort to turn the steering wheel. The power steering was out for approximately 20 minutes. After restarting the car 20 minutes later, the power steering and blind spot alert was back. A check engine light persisted. After taking to auto zone to read check engine light, there was no readable code. The warnings have since went away. The vehicle had 2,497 miles on it at the time of this occurrence which was on June 9, 2023 at 10:18 am.

Upon startup power steering was disabled and the console message "power steering available service required". Blind spot detection and lane departure also showed as in-op. Wheel was very hard to turn. After traveling a few hundred feet I determined that the car was not safe to drive. After two vehicle restarts the problem cleared. If this happened at speed, in traffic, a serious accident is likely. Dealership is unable to look at problem for weeks. This is a serious safety issue which requires immediate attention from NHTSA!.

Power steering unavailable service required messages pops up steering becomes very tough to turn.

Power steering failed while vehicle was operating at highway speeds. After several ignition restarts power steering was restored. Several auxiliary safety systems failed at the same time.

Power steering failed while driving. Blind spot detection failed. Third electrical issue since purchased in February 2022. First issue car would not start due to key fob transmitter issue. Second issue. Car would not start due to electronic fuel injection issue.

June 30, 2022 purchase receipt of vehicle. Did not begin using active lane management until August, approximately 800 miles on odometer. These problems came up repeatedly. 1. Yellow warning light came electronic stability control 2. Yellow warning light came electronic stability control off 3. Yellow warning light came service forward collision 4. Yellow warning light came active lane management 5. Instrument display text = active lane management (alm) unavailable service required 6. Active lane management is now intermittent 7. Instrument display text = blind spot alert off 8. When driving early morning before sunrise and going under multiple underpasses the driver instrument cluster camera came on and showed a red spot warning of obstacle under the underpass – however no obstacle was there warning lights and alarms continue to happen for the above. Fort collins Jeep service technician claims the root problem is a crushed cable part number 68510744ae located in engine compartment. Dealer has my vehicle, waiting for new cable. My vehicle has a faulty front camera system that began at around 1800 miles. When driving, multiple lights will illuminate on the dash. The cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane keep system, and emergency automatic brakes will shut off. It has been in the shop off and on since may 13,2022. Dealership has been replaced multiple parts, but is unable to get camera system to recalibrate and function properly. Car manufacturer, Jeep, has gotten involved and can not seem to figure out what is wrong either.

With 173 miles on the vehicle, I went to start the vehicle and the power steering, electronic stability control, blind spot monitoring, and lane assist lights all went on. The power steering did not work and I was unable to back out of my parking space. I repeatedly turned the car on and off and the lights persisted for at least an hour. After an hour, all lights went off and I was able to drive the vehicle. This could have been extremely unsafe if this had occurred while the vehicle was in motion. This also was problematic as I was stranded in a parking lot late at night. I immediately took it into the dealer and they cannot reproduce the problem and I am driving a loaner as I do not feel safe in the brand new vehicle. No warning lights came on prior to this problem appearing.

There is an issue that according to a document that the dealer gave me and is related to rear camera component fault stored in the radio (code e b21 7a-9a) they say they have no solution to the issue. When placing the change of the vehicle in reverse, the radio does not project any image, it is a high vehicle and the visibility is somewhat poor.
