Air Bag problem #1

Incident: frontal collision with a boulder at 30 mph. 1. Component/system failure & inspection availability the primary failure was the supplemental restraint system (srs); the driver’s frontal airbag failed to deploy during a high-energy frontal impact. Additionally, advanced driver assistance systems (adas)—specifically forward collision warning (fcw) and lane departure warning (ldw)—failed to provide alerts or initiate emergency braking prior to impact. 2. Safety risk the failure created a life-threatening risk. Striking a boulder at 30 mph caused substantial structural damage, requiring total replacement of the front-right and rear-right suspension assemblies. Despite the severity of the impact, the airbag remained dormant. The lack of fcw/ldw intervention meant zero mitigation was provided to prevent the roadway departure or collision, rendering primary safety features non-functional. 3. Confirmation of problem the fact that the airbags did not deploy was confirmed by independent inspection following the collision. Assessment of the vehicle damage shows that impact forces were clearly sufficient to trigger the srs, yet the system failed to activate. While adas failure is a dynamic event, the total absence of system logs or alerts during the crash sequence confirms the electronic malfunction. 4. Inspections performed the vehicle was inspected by an insurance adjuster and collision repair professionals. These inspections documented that the impact was severe enough to cause significant mechanical failure, yet no airbag deployment occurred. The manufacturer (stellantis/Jeep) has not yet performed a formal data download (edr) or physical inspection. 5. Warning lamps & prior symptoms no warning lamps, srs/airbag indicator lights, or "service" messages appeared prior to the failure. The diagnostic interface indicated all systems were "normal," pointing to a catastrophic "silent failure" of the sensors or the steering column control module.

Air Bag problem #2

Speedometer does not function. We have no idea how fast or slow we are going at any given time. It shows random speeds. Fearful we could cause an accident by unknowingly driving too fast or too slow. The speedometer display indicates we are going 40+ mph while we are sitting absolutely still at stop lights & that we are traveling at a variety of speeds including 0 mph while keeping up with traffic on the interstate. Tachometer does not function. The rpm gauge fluctuates wildly while idling and while the vehicle is in motion. Gear display does not function. We have no way of knowing what gear the vehicle is in or if it will remain stationary, move forward or backwards. Driving this vehicle or simply having the engine on, could very easily cause death or serious injury. Air bags & warning display do not function. The red alert on the instrument panel is constantly lit up indicating that the airbags will not function in the case of an accident. Engine gear display does not function. Display will randomly indicate vehicle is in reverse while we are very clearly driving forward. We have no way of knowing if the vehicle will suddenly change gears a result. Engine randomly turns off while in motion. The engine began randomly turning off while we were driving even after we picked it up from the dealership following the first attempt at repairs. There is absolutely no warning when it happens. We have no way of knowing when, where or at what speed the vehicle will be moving when the engine shuts off. This affects all steering, braking and electrical warning functions. Transmission overheating. Gives multiple alerts indicating that the transmission was running at too high a temperature and needed immediate service by the dealer. We have no way of knowing if the transmission will catch on fire. New vehicle purchased 5/2. Malfunctioned immediately +returned for service 5/8. No repair has been successful. Vehicle cannot be driven safely.
