Two problems related to automatic transmission have been reported for the 1996 Jeep Laredo. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While vehicle was in parking gear, still running, it shifted from park into reverse on its own, hitting a tree and then shifted to drive. The body damage has been repaired. No problems found with the transmission.
While idling in park without any indication vehiccle jumped into drive while consumer was out of vehicle. Passenger depressed brakes to stop vehicle. Please provide further information.
