The contact owns a 2002 Jeep Laredo. The contact stated that the vehicle independently shifted gears without warning. The contact secured the vehicle in park while exiting, but it began to roll away. The contact was able to re-enter the vehicle and secure the transmission in park, but the vehicle kept rolling. The contact had to utilize the emergency brake and get help from someone to push the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 182,378.
