One problem related to steering gear box has been reported for the 2002 Jeep Laredo. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Steering column broke, steering box and hose leak---squeaking noise occur when turning steering wheel, wheels feel like they are coming from under the vehicle when making turns, and vehicle steering wheel tightens when turning---vehicle has not been repaired as of this date- Chrysler dealer stated that this is not a recall issue--- this is a something that has been reported as a problem for several vehicles of the same model--noted by experienced mechanics.
