Two problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 2007 Jeep Liberty. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2007 Jeep Liberty based on all problems reported for the 2007 Liberty.
The contact owned a 2007 Jeep Liberty. While driving at highway speeds, the contact rear ended another vehicle. The front driver and passenger air bags deployed with force. A cloudy, smoke residue emitted inside the vehicle, which burned the front passenger side air bag. A police report was filed. The contact sustained pain to the shoulders, left ankle, and arm. The front passenger sustained neck and back pains. Both occupants received medical treatment. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed destroyed by the insurance company. The manufacturer was not aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 77,260.
Passenger side window in front made a loud noise and went down when rolling down power window. Then one by one each of my trucks window did the same thing. None of the windows will roll back up. When I called the dealership she was aware told me this happens to all of those types of vehicles and when I replace them more than likely it will happen again. To fix the regulators in all four windows will be 350-500 per window to repair. The regulator from what I understood is a small plastic piece in these specific trucks that break all the time.
