Everytime I get gas the full tank spits gas back at you which gets everywhere drips down the vehicle on to the ground. Very dangerous.
I currently own two of the same year vehicles. They both have the same problem with the ecm. I have also spoken with multiple people who own Jeep vehicles @ the same year. We all seem to have; lifter, rod knocks, oxygen sensors and ecm that have caused multiple other problems (and severe accidents) due to their malfunctioning. I have had both of my vehicles to licensed mechanics, who have advised me of the same problem. One of the 2011 Jeep Libertys have been owned by me since brand new, the other was bought used. Please please help us out!!! I have spent so much money trying to repair these vehicles!!! the ecm & oxygen sensor need to be recalled!!!.
Fuel spit back during refueling, puddle of gasoline left on ground at gas station. Fuel nozzle shuts off repeatedly hard to fill with fuel (not sure when started for many years).
Fuel overflows and does not shut off properly. Gas splashed all over me .
The gas spilled back while fueling.
Fuel sprays from filler neck while filling up. This has happened at multiple different gas stations. Its to the point I don't fill up any more I just put in $30 from empty. The pump does stop once this happens.
When fueling, the pump's auto shut off doesn't work and gas spills out everywhere. Happens every time we fill up and at different stations.
Tl-the contact owns a 2011 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that after refueling and the nozzle was ejected, fuel was emitted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure recurred on numerous occasions. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000. Oo.
Every time I fill up I get a backwash of gas I tried different gas stations with the same results I googled this issue and found out this has happened to 1000's of other Jeep owners when I called my Jeep dealer they want to charge me 100's of dollars to fix the issue which I think should be a recall. Can you please help me with this issue.
The contact owns a 2011 Jeep Liberty. The contact received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 13v252000 (fuel system); however, the part needed for the repair was unavailable. The manufacturer was not notified. The contact had not experienced a failure.
When adding fuel to vehicle fuel will gush out from fill hose connection after fuel dispensing nozzle shuts off.
