1 Vehicle Speed Control problem

The entire dashboard set of alarm lights go on as soon as the vehicle starts. The speedometer stops working, the hand break light is on so it appears as it actually activates it and it slows the vehicle impacting drivability, the radiator fan is constantly working, the 4wd mode is activated by default also impacting drivability, impossible to see if the car is overheating, and it could very well be that the airbags would not work if needed. This all adds to a very unsafe drive.

2 Vehicle Speed Control problem

When driving through town the dash lights up completely with all the warnings coming on and the wipers turn on and won't turn off. The warnings include the brakes and airbags. This has happened 3 times in a few days. We had it diagnosed and they said it's the tipm module. This Jeep doesn't even have 100k miles yet and there are tons of reports of this issue online.

3 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 06/18/2013

The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Liberty. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph, he accelerated and merged into another lane when the accelerator pedal would not disengage. The contact pulled the floor mat and removed it from the floor board and noticed that the accelerator pedal had dropped to the floor board. The rpm reading continued to increase as the failure occurred. The contact then kicked the pedal various times until the pedal disengaged. The failure recurred three times. The vehicle was taken to the three different dealers for diagnosis however, none of the technicians were able to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 16,000.

4 Vehicle Speed Control problem

Failure Date: 01/02/2012

Vehicle has a eco-mode to reserve excessive fuel usage. When traveling at a speed to exceed 45 mph the vehicle reacts with a bad vibration and shake as if there is a flat tire or something. When coming to a complete stop the vehicle shakes as if there is a defect with the rotors or brakes. When taking off, there is a kick when attempting to first accelerate especially at a traffic stop/intersection. Vehicle has been serviced at the sport durst Chrysler Jeep in durham nc and it has been declared as "drone mode which is unknown cause of issue- unrepairable. " service department conferenced with Chrysler corp. Customer service and has concluded that vehicle is recommended for buy back under lemon laws. No further action has yet been taken. Vehicle is currently unsafe and undriveable. Need another vehicle immediately.
