The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Patriot 4x4. The contact stated that the daytime running lights cannot be manually deactivated. June 26, 2007 purchased new 2007 Jeep Patriot, and on June 29, 2007 -windshield washer fluid began spraying erratically . Also, when not engaged, headlights lights didn't always come on, and sometimes unable to disengage high beams. July 1 - took it to dealer for service July 2 - contacted by dealer who said that they could not find a problem, but when we picked it up the windshield washer fluid would not work at all and the lights only came on intermittently. . . . Left at dealer July 3 - contacted by dealer who said that there was a TSB that they were previously unaware of and that they fixed the problem by "resetting a button". . . We picked up car and 3 miles down the road washer fluid began to spray erratically so that we could not see out of the windshield. . . Washer fluid would not turn off until car was turned off. . . Dealer picked car up again July 6 - contacted by dealer who stated that they had replaced the multifunction switch and that the car was ready to be picked up. . . Picked up car and checked function of the washer fluid - did not work at all. The vehicle is still at the dealer. We feel that these issues are a safety concern because you can not see out of the windown when the washer fluid engaged spontaneously, and the lights are erratic.
Water appears to be leaking through sunroof, with inner dome light filled with water. Potential electrical issue.
