One problem related to defogger controls has been reported for the 2008 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The dials on the dashboard regulating heat/air-conditioning, temperature, and fan speed heat up to very warm/hot when the air-conditioning is on and while traveling on the highway. This has happened before. The dealer service representative said this is common on Jeeps. I'm concerned about the potential for a fire.
