Three problems related to frame rust have been reported for the 2009 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Left side of front frame has large rust hole and is badly rusted. Right side is badly rusted but no hole.
The contact owns a 2009 Jeep Patriot. The contact stated that the subframe was rusted and deteriorated, which caused the subframe to clash and bang when accelerating past 30 mph. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 107,000.
The driver's side frame is completely rusted out after only six years of driving.
