Tl * the contact owns a 2010 Jeep Patriot. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the front passenger side tire pressure sensor sank into the tire causing the tire to deflate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The technician diagnosed that the metal collar around the sensor corroded and fractured causing the failure. As a result, the sensor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileage was 80,000.
